Jaipur is the capital city of the Indian state of Rajasthan, situated in the eastern semi-desert land. It houses some of the most ancient monuments and palaces that are made of traditional pink stones. Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber on November 18, 1727. This beautiful city is spread over an area of about 200 square kilometers.
