Jagson Airlines is a private low-cost budget airline based in Delhi, India. In 1991, when the aviation sector was opened for the private sector, Jagson Airlines was the first private airline to avail of this opportunity. The airline commenced its operations in 1992. The airline is owned by Jagson International, the flagship of Jackson Group of Companies. After its inception, Jagson Airlines started its chartered operations, with an 18-seat Dornier 228-201 aircraft. Later on, the airline started operating scheduled flights from Delhi, on a regular basis. Today, Jagson Airlines is serving as one of the most trusted domestic airlines in India. Jagson Airline presently flies to select destinations between Delhi and Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh. It also operates a helicopter service between Srinagar, Baltal and Amarnath. In the present time, the airline has terminated its operations from Chennai and now, it operates only from Delhi and Shirdi. Currently, it plies flights from its Delhi hub to Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Kulu, Pantnagar and Shimla. From Shirdi, the airline operates regular flights to Mumbai and Pune. For its initial operations, Jagson Airlines had taken six Airbus aircrafts on dry-lease. In the present time, the airline has 2 Dornier 228-200 aircrafts and two 26-seat Russian helicopters, operating in India's north-eastern states.
