Ahmedabad Airport is popularly known as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. It is the busiest airport in Gujarat and the 8th busiest airport in India. Ahmedabad International Airport has separate terminals for international and domestic flights. Both the terminals use the same airside facilities but are physically separated on the landside, requiring a five-minute drive between them. A new international terminal is currently under construction.

Domestic airlines operating from Ahmedabad Airport are Jet Airways, Air India, Alliance Air, Air Deccan, Indian Airlines, Air Sahara, SpiceJet, Kingfisher Airlines, and GoAir. International airlines operating from Ahmedabad Airport include Air India, Indian Airlines, and Singapore Airlines.
