Beaded Bookmark

Easy to make, kids and teenagers can make this beaded bookmark in minimal expenses and efforts. It looks beautiful and works well as party favors and casual gifts. It can also be a great fundraiser activity for youth groups. One can easily use them at home and make reading fun with a little creative effort.

Things You Will Need:

18 Inches of Hemp Cord
Beads with Big Holes for Stringing Hemp Cord
Ruler

Method:

Place a knot about three inches from one end of the cord.
Bead the cord end using beads in different shapes and colors for about 1-½ inches.
Place a knot at the other end of the beads.
Place a knot 10 inches from the beaded cord end.
Bead the other end for about two to three inches at this end and then place the knot to make the bottom of the bookmark.
You may want to use funky beads like flower or animal beads here.
Trim the ends of the cord to ¼ inch away from the end knot on both sides.
